Patience

Qualities God Seeks topics from the book Hope by Robert Woeger.

3. Patience

Never give up! Wait on God. Ask Him to show you what needs to change, and give God permission to change you. Pray for God to do whatever it takes to change you.

Patience often brings you to a place where you become Desperate For God, and you realize that you need Him, as you are nothing apart from Him. God Seeks worshipers who are desperate to “…worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24. Soaking worship causes you to disengage from self, and spend time focusing on God. God gave the Sabbath as an example of your need to seek Him, and rest from work.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him…” Psalm 37:7. “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:2.

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” “I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.” Psalm 46:10, 40:1-2.

I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.” Psalm 130:5.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9. Have a single-minded heart, without wavering or doubting.

The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.” Lamentations 3:25. Avoid distractions and cares of this world. Focus totally on God.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31. Allow God the Freedom to Move the Way He Desires.

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;” 2 Corinthians 4:1. Do not fear, or worry, but accept in faith what God Said as The Truth. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58. “Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7.

Prayer: Father God, let me continually soak in Your Word, and In Your Presence. May I know You in a deep, intimate, and personal way. May the cares of this world not sway, hold, or control me. I desire unbroken intimacy and fellowship with You alone.
