Repent

God Loves You so much! He wants you to repent so you can spend eternity with Him. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in your place, to pay the penalty that your sins required. Jesus Sacrificed His Life, so that you may have eternal life with God!But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8. Receive God’s Great Love. Repent from your sins. Sin causes separation, or a breach, in your relationship with God. Once you come to God, through faith in Jesus Christ, He expects you to follow Him by obeying His Word. God is calling you back to Him. He wants you to repent, and to turn from your sins, and pray, and ask Jesus Christ to save you, from all your sins. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36.

Many Christians, or Followers of Jesus Christ, choose to continue living in the world, without renewing their minds, or changing their behavior. God is calling you to repent, to change your thoughts and actions, renewing your mind, with the help of His Word. Turn from being rebellious and disobedient toward God. Obey God and receive many blessings from following after Him, including His Love, Acceptance and His Presence. “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalm 103:2-5.

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:6-9.

To repent, means to change, to turn from one thing to another, changing your mind. Stop doing wrong things, and start doing right, godly things, that are pleasing to God. When you repent, you humble yourself, please God, and stop focusing on yourself. God expects all people to repent, to turn from all sin, and walk in purity and holiness. Many churches today are preaching about God’s Grace, which is wonderful, but they leave out God’s Call to repentance. Faith without works is dead. You must prove you will obey God, demonstrating continual fruit of obedience once you receive His Grace. You must have faith, and be justified by works confirming your faith. James 2:17-26. Jesus said “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15. The Lord is “…not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9. God is calling you to repent, do what He Says, and believe in The Lord Jesus Christ.
