2. Speak Life

Speak life to yourself, and to others. Stop speaking evil of, and judging, other people. Your words are powerful and creative. Either life or death are contained in your words. Bless others and do not curse them. God will hold you accountable for every word.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” Proverbs 18:21.

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23.

“Speak not evil one of another, brethren.” James 4:11.

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14.

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” Luke 6:45.

“…That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Matthew 12:36-37.

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” Matthew 5:44.

“Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.” Romans 12:14.

Your enemy knows the power of your words. He wants you to curse, condemn, judge, and gossip about others. Speak words of life, in agreement, according to His Word. Be quick to forgive others, and do not stay angry, or hold grudges. Let God repay you.

Prayer: Father God, please help me to guard my tongue at all times. Let my words be few, and always be spoken in love. Remove all anger, unforgiveness, bitterness, and condemnation that I feel toward others. Help me use my words to build Your Kingdom. Please check the motivation of my heart, so I may be humble, and always glorify You!
